LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE 2023 DEBATE CYCLE
26 minute YouTube video featuring Tevi Troy, Diana Carlin, and Lance Geiger
New Debate
Check out the Lyceum debate about LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE 2023 DEBATE CYCLE, with three participants including Lance Geiger — who used to be a collegiate debate champ and later a judge. Lance judged rounds (and voted against me a few times!). If you watch nothing else, enjoy the lighthearted moment at the 3-minute mark here.
This Lyceum debate between Tevi Troy, Diana Carlin, and Lance Geiger takes a hard look at what just happened with the GOP and the DNC having debates that didn’t feature either of two likely nominees. Bizarre, right? So was it waste? No. We learned something, but what was it? Each participant offers three ideas in three minutes aimed at one issue. The focus is on finding solutions that build up civil society, rather than yes-no resolutions that tear one another down.
